God use imperfect people. He use the weak, the broken, the flawed. When we look at a couple of the people in the bible we see... David, the adulterer. He lusted after and slept with Bathsheba, Uriah's wife, getting her pregnant. David, the murderer. He had Uriah killed to cover up his sin with Bathsheba. Still, David was "a man after God's own heart." Why? Because he was repentant. Joseph, the abused and the accused. Sold into slavery by his own brothers he went to prison for something he did not do. Yet, restored by God, he rose to prosperity, great leadership and was used to save the people from great famine. There are so many more like these two. We can get up on any given day and become overwhelmed by our own imperfections and failures. It is even worst when others choose to point these out to us. You see, the enemy is quick to highlight our weakness and our short comings in an attempt to discourage us and derail what God desires to accomplish in and through us. If God was to use the "perfect" man, none of us would qualify, simply because... 1. There is no perfect man. 2. We would want to believe it is because we are so "great" why God use us and through pride and arrogance, we would take the glory instead of giving it to God. When we are used in our imperfectness, we are kept humble and all power goes to God. No matter what we have done or what we have been through, God is more than able to restore us and use us for His glory. So when the enemy throws our weakness, our flaws or our brokenness in our faces; when he whispers in our ears "you are not good enough..." remember God uses us INSPITE of it all. We are perfectly choosen by God to fulfill His plan and purpose. 1 Corinthians 1:27-29 ..."but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong...and the low things and the despised God has chosen...so that no man may boast before God." Be humble. Be willing. Be ready. Original image from Pinterest
